Barauli is a town and a notified area in Gopalganj district in the state of Bihar, India.

Barauli is located at 26Ā°24ā²N 84Ā°35ā²Eļ»æ / ļ»æ26.4Ā°N 84.58Ā°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 65 metres (213 feet).
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of 2001[update] India census,[3] Barauli had a population of 34,643. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Barauli has an average literacy rate of 41%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 64% of the males and 36% of females literate. About 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.
